Your wedding day is something you will remember for the rest of your life, but it’s often the small and unique details that make it even more memorable for you and your guests! But how do you pick out which details to include, how do you personalize them, and how do you even come up with ideas? The best way to make your wedding unique is to make it your own! I’m so excited to share 5 Ways to Make Your Wedding Day More Unique!

Set apart some time to think about what represents you as a couple. Think about things like how you met, how the proposal went, what you like to do together, and places you’ve visited together. If you’re still stuck, keep reading to hear some of my favorite personalizations!

But before we dive in, don’t forget to think about your guests! As much as your wedding day is about you and your partner, it’s also important to consider your guests. You want them to enjoy the day just as much as you do. Think about what you would look forward to as a wedding guest and try your best to accommodate them. If you want to leave a lasting impression on your guests, keep scrolling to read these 5 ways to make your wedding day more unique!

1. Late Night Snack or Food Truck

After a long day and a night of celebrating, how awesome would it be to surprise everyone with a food truck? Whether it’s just a small snack or a meal, booking a food truck for the end of the day is sure to keep you and your guests happy, content, and full. If your venue doesn’t allow for food trucks, late night snacks are a great option, too! I’ve seen it all from pizza to s’mores and even a bacon bar! Guests love it and it will set your reception apart!

2. Live Painter

Hiring a live painter to capture a moment during weddings is becoming more and more popular (and I love it!) Some people have them paint the ceremony while other couples have them capture the first dance. This idea will add a unique element to your wedding day and you will also get to take home a memento, plus your guests can watch the masterpiece come to life during your reception! It’s a win win!

3. Change Up the Ceremony Seating

Instead of having horizontal rows of chairs all facing the same direction for the ceremony, try changing up the seating. You could have the chairs set up in a circle around you and your partner with you at the center! This way guests will be closer and they’ll have the ability to sit at different angles. If you can’t accommodate different seating, I’ve found that guests love when they can pick either side and not have to worry about sitting on “the bride’s side” or “the groom’s side.” Mixing everyone together is a really sweet sentiment!

4. Signature Cocktails or Recipes

Signature cocktails are always a hit! Whether it’s a drink names after you, a pet, or something you love, your guests will love it! If you come from a family who loves to bake or has lots of recipes, bake grandma’s famous chocolate chip cookies as a wedding favor or as a dessert and include the recipe for another personal touch!

5. Meaningful Reception Table Names

This one is simple and fun! Instead of numbering the reception tables name them after significant places in your relationship. For example the name of the street where you first lived together, or the park you went to on your first date. This will be fun for your guests to read and it allows them to get to know you and your partner better. I’ve also seen couples include pictures of them at each age. So for Table 1, there’d be pictures of you and your spouse at 1 year old!

KIND WORDS

“I cannot recommend Sydney enough! Our wedding photos came out even better than we imagined. There are so many beautiful photos I don’t know how we will ever decide our favorites.
Sydney truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day go smoothly. She was professional, yet still made me feel like a friend was shooting our wedding.
I would work with her again in a heartbeat.
Book her and you will not be disappointed! She is amazing!”
