Regardless of the season that you're in, this time in your life deserves to be captured by something other than your iPhone. I started my whole business with senior and family sessions and I am still so in love with every single one I do!
I strive to make my seniors feel beautiful in every way and to create images that they'll share with generations to come and say "oh yeah I looked like that in high school!" I love creating photos to remind families that in spite of the fact that their car floor is covered in cereal, their laundry room looks like an episode of hoarders and mom and dad are in a permanent state of exhaustion, their love and their story are beautiful.
So let's plan a day, pick a beautiful location that is meaningful to you and create a slew of images that will fill up the frames on your walls for years to come.
"Thank you for making my daughter's session perfect."
Kylie doesn't typically enjoy having her picture taken. She had a blast with Sydney. She's prompt, professional, engaging with her subject, cheerful, easy to connect with and has amazing talent. We had a wonderful time with her. I highly recommend Sydney and can't wait to work with her again. Thank you for making my daughter's session perfect.

The short answer is yes. I use Adobe Lightroom to finalize all of your images and I avoid Photoshop at all costs. I have learned a system of shooting it right during our time together so I do a very minimal amount of editing to your photos. Typically my editing process involves brightening everything up for that light and dreamy style you've seen me post and a few color corrections when they're needed.
I start all of my sessions just before sunset for that super dreamy light you've seen me use. For a full 90 minute portrait session, expect your scheduled time to be about 2 hours before the sun goes down. For mini sessions, expect to be there about an hour before sunset. Sunrise sessions do happen on rare occasions when we still want that dreamy light but just can't find the time in the evening. Don't worry though, we'll talk all about that before your session.
This question is what inspired me to create a style guide just for all of my SMP clients! In the style guide you'll find tips on coordinating colors with each other and with a specific location, you'll find out how to prepare for your session, how to choose the most flattering pieces and accessories and so so so much more.
Fortunately, weather has been on my side most of the time the last few years I've been doing this. While rain checks are uncommon, they do happen and they really aren't anything to stress about- I promise! If it's just sprinkling, I say lets do it! I mean umbrellas make super cute accessories. Of course if you aren't comfortable or the weather is extreme we will absolutely find a new date and all will be great! We'll cross that bridge if we have to.
You can reach out to me by filling out the contact form. You can always email me at email@example.com as well. From there, I'll put you in my client workflow system called Honeybook so that we can get you booked, signed, and paid via credit or debit card or check in the mail if that's what you'd prefer. It's all super simple, I promise.
