Jalene and Pete had the most beautiful beach wedding in Port Austin, Michigan. I traveled to the tip of the thumb in Port Austin to photograph this wedding! The weather showed that it was supposed to be cold and rainy the whole day but it luckily held off until well into the reception!
Before the ceremony, one of their guests mentioned to me that Petes Grandma passed away a week before the wedding and how she was looking out for them by keeping the weather clear so they could enjoy their beautiful beach ceremony. And I think she was right because the rain held off long enough for everyone to enjoy all the outdoor festivities.
Pete, Jalene, and their two little boys are huge Disney fans so incorporating little Disney details throughout the day made it extra special! They had a Minnie and Mickey cake topper, and Jalene wore Disney inspired sneakers at the reception with the words “happily ever after” embroidered on them. They even had hidden Mickey’s throughout the day and it was so fun! There was even a fog machine during their first dance to “when You Wish Upon a Star” which made it that much more magical.
To see more of the magic that was this day, keep on scrolling!

“Sydney does such a beautiful job capturing memories for our family! We have had her take photos for us two times now, and I’ve been amazed at how beautiful our pictures have come out. I love her style, and the pictures look so bright and beautiful framed in my home. She did an amazing job capturing the love my fiancé and I share during our engagement shoot, and she totally impressed me when she was able to get so many cute pictures of our stubborn two year old who hates his picture taken. She even got him smiling! I cannot wait for Sydney to capture our wedding in September, and to continue to capture memories for our family for years to come. I totally recommend hiring her.”
