Watch out Kentucky, my best friend is going to Eastern Kentucky University for grad school! Keely came to stay with us in Michigan from Florida a few weeks ago. We couldn’t not take the opportunity to have a little college announcement shoot.

Anyone who knows Keely knows how amazing she is. And anyone who knows me knows how proud and lucky I am to call her one of my best friends in the world, which is why this little shoot is so extra special to me!

Keely and I met in probably one of the most unconventional ways you can meet a lifelong friend. It’s a long and crazy story, so when people ask we just tell them that our dad’s work together. The last six years of knowing this girl have had moments that I wish I could forget and moments that I hope I never will forget. She was there through them all. I am so beyond proud of her and everything she’s been able to accomplish and will accomplish at EKU.

Last week was supposed to be her first week of grad school at college studying Speech Language Pathology with a Masters of Arts in Education in Communication Disorders. She spent it here with me in good old Michigan. COVID may have taken away her first semester as a grad school student, but it allowed her to come stay with me for two weeks and I am sooo glad.

Keely is the perfect person for this program and for the career she’ll end up in. She’s someone who cares about people more than I ever thought anyone could!

Keels, I am so beyond proud of you. Words can’t explain how much I’m going to miss you, but I know you’re going to rock it at your new college (whenever you can actually start on campus.) I can’t thank you enough for your constant support. I hope you know I’ve always got your back, too. Until I can hug you again, I love you befri.
