We did it! Well, all I did was show up and take pictures, but regardless, Kylie was so surprised. Friday was Kylie’s drive by graduation party since it was supposed to be her last day of high school. The whole time she thought I was there to take pictures of her in her prom dress and cap and gown (which we did of course), but I was also there to capture the sweet moments you’re about to see.

When I heard Erica was planning a surprise for Kylie, I was 100% in! Kylie’s senior session last summer was one of my favorites to date. It was the perfect example of why I love doing what I do! Kylie is so fun and up beat and hilarious to be around. Despite her small coordination issue (don’t worry she’s well aware of it), she always makes being around her so fun and taking her pictures so easy.

Other than Kylie’s sweet reactions, my absolute favorite part of the day was when her mom surprised her with a piece of her passed grandpa’s shirt sewn into Kylie’s graduation cap. There were tears and it was one of the sweetest moments I’ve ever gotten to capture.

In the fall, Kylie will be attending Indiana Tech to study engineering! Hearing her and her mom talk about her future home and campus, I can tell it is totally Kylie’s kind of school. I know she’s going to rock it.

Kylie, I am so excited for you and for all the amazing things you’ll do in the future. Your graduation day showed how loved and supported you are. Even though I wasn’t surprised of course. Keep doing you- being goofy, beautiful inside and out, clumsy and awesome. I can’t wait to see where life takes you. Congratulations!
