There are so many things I loved about Ericka and Jon’s wedding. This intimate backyard wedding was so sweet and ran so smoothly I couldn’t even believe it! There’s something so special about smaller weddings and I’m so excited to be sharing all about Ericka and Jon’s day.

We started off the day super laid back at Ericka’s parent’s beautiful home getting ready. It was only smooth sailing from there on out. After an emotional first look with her dad, we headed to the water for an even sweeter first look with Jon.

As Jon and I were walking back to our cars I asked him how he was feeling. He said he was fine until he pulled up to the park and his heart was beating out of his chest. But of course, seeing his beautiful bride to be took most of those nerves away.

Jon also told me about the sweetest story on our walk back to the car. 11 years ago, Jon and Ericka had both been in serious relationships and “got dumped in the same month.”. This led them to become really good friends. It wasn’t long after that Jon went with Ericka to pick up the wedding dress she wore at their wedding!

Between all the happy vibes, and the quaint backyard scenery for pictures, Ericka and Jon’s intimate backyard wedding was one for the books. I’m so excited to be sharing all my favorites!
